The Celedonio Romero Guitar Institute
The Celedonio Romero Guitar Institute honors the legacy of Celedonio Romero and the generations he inspired — Celin, Pepe, Celino, and Lito Romero — whose contributions have defined the art of classical guitar for nearly a century. Rooted in tradition yet forward-looking in spirit, the Institute offers a deep and immersive experience for serious young classical guitarists.
Participants receive private lessons, engage in masterclasses, attend lectures and presentations, and participate in ensemble rehearsals and concerts. A highlight of the Institute is its collaboration with the Oklahoma Chamber Symphony, conducted by Kaleb Benda, where students have the rare opportunity to rehearse and perform guitar concerti with a professional orchestra.
More than a training ground, the Celedonio Romero Guitar Institute is a celebration of excellence, expression, and legacy — designed to shape not just great players, but great artists.
