Mark Whitfield
Jazz Guitarist | Verve Records Artist | Berklee College of Music
A modern jazz icon, Mark Whitfield has performed with Herbie Hancock, Wynton Marsalis, and D’Angelo. Hailed by The New York Times as “the best young guitarist in the business,” he brings unparalleled experience and generosity to his teaching. Students will gain deep insights into groove, phrasing, and improvisation from a master of the art.


Chip Henderson
Jazz Guitarist | Arranger | Educator
Chip Henderson is a versatile performer and arranger whose credits include symphony work, national touring musicals (The Lion King, Shrek), and jazz collaborations with Marvin Stamm and Peter Bernstein. He’s also the author of a widely used Charlie Christian soloing book and teaches at Middle Tennessee State University. His teaching emphasizes musical storytelling, swing feel, and clarity.


Bill Swick
Guitar Educator | Program Builder | Ensemble Specialist
Bill Swick is a leader in American guitar education and the longtime director of the Las Vegas Academy’s award-winning guitar program. With decades of experience teaching large ensembles and shaping curriculum nationwide, Swick brings practical tools and inspiration to students and teachers alike.


Vince Norman
Jazz Composer | Arranger | Multi-Instrumentalist
Vince Norman is a respected composer and former chief arranger for the U.S. Naval Academy Band’s jazz ensemble. His arrangements and charts are played by top groups around the country. At the institute, he offers practical guidance on jazz harmony, ensemble interaction, and improvisation—across instruments and styles.
