Erika Carmen Reyes-Vásquez
Flamenco Artist & Educator
Erika Carmen Reyes-Vásquez is a leading voice in Flamenco dance and education. With over 25 years dedicated to the art form, she brings both mastery of technique and a deep cultural connection that resonates with audiences and students alike.
Trained in classical ballet and modern dance, Erika has made Flamenco her artistic center — where movement, rhythm, and tradition converge. Her career as a teacher and director has shaped countless young artists, and in 2025 she was honored as Teacher of the Year across her entire school district, a recognition of both her artistry and her transformative impact as an educator.
As the Director of Leyenda Dance, Erika brings this artistry, discipline, and vision to a new stage. She leads the program with a commitment to excellence, inclusivity, and cultural authenticity, ensuring that dancers of all levels find both inspiration and challenge. Under her leadership, Leyenda Dance becomes not only a platform for world-class performance, but also a home for learning, community, and the passing on of traditions to future generations.
